कर्मेन्द्रियाणि संयम्य य आस्ते मनसा स्मरन् । इन्द्रियार्थान्विमूढात्मा मिथ्याचारः स उच्यते ॥ ६॥

Hybrid Warfare thrives precisely on these policies. (a) Outward restraint with inward intent : Publicly advocate a philosophy and privately conduct activities opposed to the philosophies. States often advocate peace, international law, democracy, however may privately and covertly conduct cyber intrusions, proxy wars, economic coercion and information manipulation. (b) Information and Cognitive Wars: The practice of mental fixation on objectives while protecting moral restraints is often observed in info and cognitive wars. Perception management and information doctoring is a norm today which is a part and parcel of the hybrid grey zone warfare. (c) Non-Kinetic Camouflage: Hybrid warfare avoids visible kinetic actions but the engagement continues with the adversary in different forms. Espionage and information monitoring is a process in continuum. (d) Proxy Actors and plausible deniability: Hybrid Warfare engages militants, hacktivists, civil societies, journalists and thinktanks and also minorities as an instrument of entropical changes.

न हि कश्चित्क्षणमपि जातु तिष्ठत्यकर्मकृत् | कार्यते ह्यवश: कर्म सर्व: प्रकृतिजैर्गुणै: || 5||

Renouncing deeds completely is not possible and can not be avoided. Every one is forced to act depending on his natural self.

In the context of Hybrid Warfare the following points are evident - (a) No Neutrality in Hybrid Conflict - Hybrid Warfare operates across military, cyber, information, economic, legal and psychological spectrums. Therefore an idea of non-participation does not hold good. A nation that does not actively shape narratives, takes a cyber posture, manages its supply chains or maintain public sentiments woul dlose ground before the advent of the war. (b) Natural Compulsions - States donot choose whetehr they would participate or not in a hybrid war, their structure forces their participation that includes - political, economic, technological, social and media environments. (c) Hybrid Warfare thrives on Delay, Denial, Ambiguity. Inaction does not guarantee isolation and consequences. (d) Psychological Actions - Hybris Warfare succeeds becaulse people can not stop reacting - even silence, outrage or apathy feeds the system. In hybrid warfare, as in the Gītā, no actor can remain inactive; systemic forces compel participation, and failure to act consciously results in being acted upon.

न कर्मणामनारम्भान्नैष्कर्म्यं पुरुषोऽश्रुते । न च सन्न्यसनादेव सिद्धिं समधिगच्छति ॥४॥

A person does not attain freedom from action by abstaining from action, nor does he achieve perfection merely by renunciation.

लोकेऽस्मिन्द्विविधा निष्ठा पुरा प्रोक्ता मयानघ । ज्ञानयोगेन सांख्यानां कर्मयोगेन योगिनाम् ॥३॥

It blends conventional wars, irregular tactics, disinformation, cyber operations and influence campaigns. Gyaan Yoga aligns with strategic cognitions, perception management and information dominance. Knowledge in this context means Intelligence Fusion, Narrative Shaping and Strategic Foresight and Doctrinal clarity. However, Karma Yoga reflects the application of hard and soft power in synchronized action which means military force, cyber and other forms of attacks, diplomacy etc. Karma Yoga emphasizes detached action with discipline

व्यामिश्रेणेव वाक्येन बुद्धिं मोहयसीव मे । तदेकं वद निश्चित्य येन श्रेयोऽहमाप्नुयाम् ॥२॥

Arjun tells Krishna that by placing wisdom over deeds, he is now confused as to why Lord Krishna is pushing him into war.

The confusions arising out of mixed signals or a mix of contradictory strategies could represent Psychological Operations aimed at disorienting the enemy by providing misinformation, disinformation or causing internal conflict and confusion.
